Introduction to Search and Rescue is a course offered by the National Association
of Search and Rescue (NASAR). Search Management Consultants has developed this
study guide to assist the student with the applicable knowledge objectives necessary for
the course. This study guide is not intended to replace the Introduction to Search and
Rescue textbook.
TESTING M ETH ODS:
Written Test: The test will consist of 75 multiple choice questions based on the Type III
SAR TECH knowledge objectives. Passing score is 70%.
