How did the simulated experience of Vernon Russell’s case make you feel? Overall, I felt like
the simulation was a positive experience. It made me feel in control, as well as challenged in the
situation. I was allowed to perform multiple nursing skills and utilize the nursing process without
fear of real patient harm. In addition, I felt more confident and prepared to handle a stressful
situation in the virtual work environment and handle difficult situations with the patient.
Talk about what went well in the scenario. I think everything went well in this simulation. I’m
getting more familiar with what to do in situations, as well as reading the chart and following
the doctors orders.
Reflecting on Vernon Russell’s case, were there any actions you would do differently if you
were to repeat this scenario? If so, how would your patient care change? No
