Accuracy and Precision
Accuracy = How close a measurement is to the accepted value
Precision = How close repeated measurements are to each other
Precise measurements can still be inaccurate!
Error and Percent Error
Experimental value: Measured during the experiment
Accepted value: True/correct value

Error = Experimental value - Accepted value
Always positive — only the size of the error matters.
Percent Error:
Scientists want to know what % of the accepted value the error represents.
Percent error: expresses error as a percentage of the accepted value
Percent Error = (Error ÷ Accepted Value) x 100
