Regular Inspection - Inspection at least once daily when aircraft activity is minimal to
reduce impact. Part of this inspection should be done during night.
Continuous Monitoring - Continuous surveillance of AOA. Hazardous conditions can
appear at any time and in a short period of time
Periodic Inspection - inspection of activities and facilities can be conducted on a
regularly scheduled basis, but less frequently than daily. The time interval could be weekly,
monthly, or quarterly, depending on the activity or facility.
Special Inspection - Inspection after receipt of a complaint or when an unusual
condition or unusual event occurs at the airport, such as a significant meteorological event or
an accident or other incident. Also after construction activities.
Airport Security Plan - Part 1542, prescribes rules for airport operators who service and
facilitate domestic air carriers, foreign air carriers, and both foreign and domestic air cargo
carriers. The purpose of Part 1542 is to prevent any act of unlawful interference with the
safety of persons and goods in the air.
Signage and Marking Plan - Shows every surface marking and installed airfield sign. AC

Visual Meteorological Conditions (VMC) - Requires 3 miles of visibility and a minimum
of 1000 ft cloud base AGL.
