mortal but Pollux was immortal. Pollux shared his immortality with Castor and alternate days as
immortal.



Helen - Answer Married Paris after he picked Aphrodite as the golden apple victor. Originally
married to Menelaus. Also known as Helen of Troy.



Paris - Answer Son of Priam and Hecuba of Troy. Mother saw that he would be the doom of
Troy. Picked Aphrodite as the owner of the Golden Apple and sparked the Trojan War.



Priam - Answer King of Troy during the Trojan War. Convinced Achilles to have a 9 day truce for
the death of Hector.



Menelaus - Answer Original husband of Helen. Waged war against Troy. King of Sparta.



Achilles - Answer Protagonist of Iliad. Child of Thetis. Dipped in Styx to become immortal - one
mortal point was his heel. Healed Telephus to get to Troy. Had dispute with Agamemnon

really just allowed them to get inside the walls. Reason that Greece won the war.

Circe, stayed with Calypso and many others.



Telemachus - Answer Went on a journey to find his father after the Trojan War. Visited Nestor
then Sparta to hear stories of his father. Eventually was reunited with his father.



Nestor - Answer Helped Jason to receive the Golden Fleece. Fought against the Calydonian Boar.
Joined the war but was too old to fight (advised and gave morale).



Antinous - Answer Leader of the Suitors who wanted Penelope. Tries to kill Telemachus.
Murdered by Odysseus first.



Aeolus - Answer Keeper of the winds. Gave Odysseus a closed bag however his companions
opened it and blew them even farther off course. God and ruler of the winds



Poseidon - Answer God of the seas and protector of aquatic features. Earthshaker and the
trident. Made Odysseus quest longer as he was pissed off. Caused due to Cyclops Polyphemus.



Elpenor - Answer Youngest comrade of Odysseus. Died of Circe's island by falling off of the roof.
First shade to reach Odysseus.



Broadsea - Answer Athlete that challenges Odysseus.

, Demodocus - Answer Poet that visits Alcinous. Causes Odysseus to cry as he sings of the Trojan
War.



Penelope - Answer Husband of Odysseus. Held her suitors at bay by making a weaving a burial
shroud by day and unweaving it at night. Picked her suitor by stringing Odysseus' bow then
shooting through 12 axe heads.



Lotus Eaters - Answer Ate lotus plants, which are narcotics.



Cyclops/Polyphemus - Answer inhabited Islands in the Mediterranean. Odysseus got
Polyphemus drunk and stabbed out his eyes after Polyphemus trapped them. Odysseus named
himself Nobody so that when he screamed for help he said "nobody has wounded me".
Odysseus then boasts that he is the great Odysseus as he leaves getting him the curse of
Poseidon.



Circe - Answer Minor Goddess of magic that turns men into farm animals - specifically pigs.
Odysseus was warned by one of his men and Hermes helped him to befriend her and save his
men. They then stayed their and had sons.



Sirens - Answer Beautiful singers who lured sailors to them and they died. Odysseus when
passing them tied himself up to hear their voices.



Scylla - Answer Monster that ate sailors as they sailed past her lair. She had tentacles and
multiple dog heads at her waist. Ate six of Odysseus men as they passed.



Charybdis - Answer On the other side of the strait controlled by Scylla. Giant whirlpool that
would destroy ships as they reached the mouth of Charybdis.
