In terms of the Companies Act 71 of 2008:
Ms Tar may be removed by an ordinary resolution adopted at a shareholders' meeting.
Ms Tar must be given notice of the meeting and the reasons for the proposed removal.
Ms Tar must be notified in writing and have a chance to respond to the allegations.
Ms Tar must be given a reasonable opportunity to make representations at the meeting, in
person or through a representative.
In certain circumstances the board of directors may remove a fellow director. This applies if it
can be proved Ms Tar is ineligible, disqualified, incapacitated and unable to perform functions as
a director or has been neglecting or derelict in performing her functions.
Ms Tar, if removed, may apply to court to review the decision for procedural or substantive
fairness.
