SWK5015: Advanced Statistics Research Program Evaluation
Unit 2 Assignment #1
Frequency Statistics
A mentoring program was designed by the Sunville Youth Services Organization for young
people between the ages of 15 and 19 who are currently enrolled in high school and there is a
possibility that they will drop out entirely. The manager of the program is of the opinion that
providing the youth with a mentor will have an effect on the youth's academic performance,
, attendance, attitude toward themselves, and behavior at home. In light of this, the manager of the
program is currently gathering information in order to monitor the results related with this
program.
Throughout the program, young individuals will acquire the skills to enhance their academic
performance, attendance, self-confidence, and conduct. To do this, it is recommended to
incorporate the following activities:
Individualized instructional sessions: Establish recurring tutoring sessions tailored to meet the
specific academic requirements of each student. By adopting a tailored strategy, it is possible to
effectively target and correct individual educational deficiencies, resulting in a notable
enhancement in academic performance. Programs designed to provide guidance, support, and
knowledge transfer from experienced individuals to less experienced individuals. Match students
with mentors who can offer guidance, support, and encouragement. Mentors have the ability to
enhance a student's self-esteem by acknowledging and appreciating their endeavors and
accomplishments. Methods to encourage and reward attendance: Establish an incentive program
to encourage students to maintain regular attendance by implementing a reward system.
Possible rewards may vary from certificates of recognition to modest presents or privileges.
Study groups promote collaboration among students, allowing them to work together on
projects and prepare for tests collectively. This fosters a sense of community and shared
responsibility for learning.
