Strengths (tips on how to answer below!!!!)
Reliability
A strength is the study is high in reliability this means the consistency of a
measure remains the same after multiple attempts. The study is done in a
laboratory setting which often follows a Standardized procedure For
example; each participants had to sign a consent form (demographic and
cartoon watching form),all participants were asked recall questions about
whether they remember the faces, all had to listen to the instructions for
line-up identification, each participant saw a display of 4 faces and a
silhouette, and finally all were reminded that targets may not be present on
lineup. In conclusion, having a standardized procedure ensures all
participants have the same experience and another researcher can replicate
the study and draw similar findings.
Quantitative data
A strength of the study is the use of quantitative data which is data in
numbers that can be easily compared for different groups and statistically
analyzed. For example, in target-absent lineups adults had better correct
rejection of faces 94% compared to children 74% therefore conclusions can
be made that children are more prone to false positive response in general
compared to adults. In conclusion the process of collecting quantitative data
is objective so less prone to researcher bias therefore unlikely to have invalid
conclusions

Ethics
A strength of the study is that it followed ethical guidelines which means
measures to follow to avoid spoiling the reputation of studies. For example,
consent was followed as both children and adults received consent form
before participating in study, additionally children were given the right to
withdraw as they were told they could leave whenever they desired. In
conclusion, following ethical guidelines avoids high attrition rates as
participants of the study will feel more comfortable and less distressed.
