Studietaak 5.9
Ten eerste valt ons op dat er goed gebruik wordt gemaakt woorden zoals ‘Should’ ,
er is dus ‘Prescriptive language’ aanwezig. Dit komt niet dwingend, maar juist
adviserend over. Een zwakte is dat er gebruik wordt gemaakt van lange zinnen wat
er voor zorgt dat de ‘Readability’ wordt afgenomen.
“Especially in markets with asymmetric buyer–supplier relationships, the dominant
party should realize that a coercive strategy used upon a target can be viewed and
experienced differently by the target. When selecting a coercive strategy, the
dominant party should not only consider the reaction of the counterpart, but also the
potential impact within and outside the relationship.”
Aanbeveling 1 is gericht op de managers. Deze aanbeveling valt onder ‘become
more aware’ en maakt gebruik van ‘Prescriptive language’ zoals ‘should.
“The influence strategy was often seen as a business tactic rather than a business
strategy. When influence strategies are recognized and reasons for selection of
these influence strategies are understood, the counter party can respond effectively.
Managers, in and outside the natural gas and electricity market, should increase
their knowledge about the different influence strategies, as they are powerful tools
with which they can influence the behaviour of the counter party and increase their
power in buyer–supplier relationships.”
