Introduction
The purpose of this report is to examines the relationship between the selling price of properties
and their size in square feet in order to aid buyers and sellers for D.M. Pan National Real Estate
Company to make informed market value decisions for clients.
Representative Data Sample
I am sampling from the Northeast region of U.S. home sale price and property square footage
variables. From the random sample, the mean listing price is 322,080.00, the median listing price
is 289,100.00, and the standard deviation is 114,139.15. The mean square footage is 1,914, and
the median square footage is 1,711.
Data Analysis
The Northeast regional sample is not entirely dissimilar to the national data, however, there are a
few deviations. The regional and national listing price mean are 322,080.00 and 288,407.00
respectively providing a difference of 33,673.00 in market value. The median listing price for the
regional sample is 289,100.00 differing from the national (256,936.00) by 32,164.00. The
