ABSTRACT
This report explores the changes in mental health that LGBT immigrants may have
experienced during their stay in the United Kingdom. Eight participants were interviewed and
the data collected and analyzed using thematic analysis. The trends that emerged from this
analysis elucidate that there is improved mental health status, in terms of confidence, freedom
and overall happiness in a majority of individuals who migrated in to the United Kingdom,
and therefore aids in understanding the implications of a conducive environment on the
LGBT community.
