Are Special Visual Flight Rules (SVFR) flights authorized? - ANS - No

Areas of precipitation - ANS - should be avoided to the max extent possible and students
SHALL NOT conduct landings in the rain or when any standing water is present on the runway.

Backseat crew member CRM responsibility - ANS - SHALL remain attentive and be available
to assist the PIC as directed for the entire duration of the flight.

CDO notification - ANS - After experiencing an aircraft incident, such as Near Midair Collision,
Bird and Animal Strike Hazard, Things Falling Off Aircraft, Physiological Episode, in-flight or
ground emergency of any kind, or maintenance issue resulting in an in-flight
abort/divert/incomplete the PIC or contractor site manager SHALL debrief the CDO. The CDO
SHALL make appropriate notification to the Chain of Command and follow procedures in
accordance with reference (h) and (i).

Changes to flight schedule - ANS - Adherence to the flight schedule is mandatory. Aircrew
SHALL immediately report any compliance issues (crew day, crew rest, IMSAFE, etc.)

Crew rest - ANS - 12 hours of continuous crew rest SHALL be afforded prior to
commencement of crew day. The CO may waive an instructor's crew rest down to 10 hours on a
case-by-case basis due to operational necessity.

Criteria for Student Warm Up Event - ANS - Break 7-13 days, 1 Optional

Break 14-30 Days, 1 Mandatory and 1 Optional

, During critical phases of flight to include takeoff, climb-out, and the approach to landing - ANS -
the cockpit SHALL be a sterile environment. There should be no communications that are not
pertinent to the mission or safety of flight

During simulated engine out landings, if not able to intercept an ELP to an active runway - ANS
- the instructor SHALL take the controls and initiate a recovery so that the aircraft does not
descend below 500 feet AGL.

Electronic kneeboards (EKBs) can be used - ANS - To minimize FOD/projectile hazards, EKBs
SHALL be in positive control, secured via mount/leg strap, or stowed

Forecasted weather in cases of steady or diminishing Terminal Area Forecast (TAF) - ANS -
the TAF must remain at or above takeoff minimums during takeoff and until one hour after ETA

Four principles of ORM - ANS - (1) Accept risk when benefits outweigh the costs.
(2) Accept no unnecessary risk.
(3) Anticipate and manage risk by planning.
(4) Make risk decisions at the right level.

If not developing as forecasted, flights are authorized within a Convective SIGMET when the
following criteria are maintained for the duration of the flight: - ANS - 1. The flight SHALL
maintain VMC.

2. The flight SHALL continuously monitor weather RADAR on an EKB/PED.

3. A suitable alternate is available with current and forecast weather at or greater than 1,500
foot ceilings and three statute miles visibility, during takeoff and until one hour after ETA.

In cases of an improving TAF - ANS - takeoff (with takeoff weather minimums) is authorized up
to one hour earlier than the TAF's timeline for achieving takeoff weather minimums.

Instructor crew day - ANS - begins upon arrival for official business and should not exceed 12
hours

Instructor events per day - ANS - The maximum number of flight events per day is four and
the maximum number of flight hours per day is six and a half. These may be waived by CO.

Minimum altitude considerations for Navy Outlying Field Silverhill - ANS - Maintain at or above
1,500 feet Mean Sea Level over Navy Outlying Field Silverhill within a 2 Nautical Mile radius of
the center of the field.

Minimum runway length - ANS - The minimum runway length for normal operations is 3,000
feet.
