Step 1: Needed a new car. Prior van blew its head gasket, and we live in the country so
public transportation is not an option. I borrowed a vehicle while I began my search for
something affordable.
Step 2: I began by looking at vehicles under $20K on eBay because that is all I spend on
a depreciating item. I preferred another van for space and AWD as we live in the
snowbelt of the Great Lakes.
Step 3: I did price renting a vehicle on Turo in comparison of buying and insuring my
own vehicle, but the miles I out on a car is too much to do that. Same reason I cannot
lease a vehicle for the cheaper payment. Mini vans were not in my budget, even on eBay
so my search narrowed down on an SUV or a crossover vehicle.
