1.1 Discuss what is meant by the concept of social order. (3)
Social order refers to the way society is organized and structured to maintain stability,
peace, and cooperation among people. It includes the rules, norms, and laws that guide
how people behave in different situations. Social order helps prevent chaos and conflict
by ensuring that everyone knows what is expected of them in society.

1.2 Define the concept of socialism. (3)
Socialism is a political and economic system where the government or the community
owns and controls resources, industries, and services instead of individuals or private
companies. The main goal of socialism is to reduce inequality by making sure wealth
and opportunities are shared more equally among everyone in society.

1.3 Explain what is meant by the following terms and give one example of each:
a) Society (3)
Society is a group of people who live together in a community, sharing common
customs, laws, and ways of life. These people interact with one another regularly and
form relationships based on shared values and goals.
Example: A school is a society where students, teachers, and staff work together in an
organized environment.
