Introduction
Throughout this case study will analyze and discuss plans, as well as at least one ethical
issue that arose or could arise, which will be the subject of my analysis, along with a visual
component and my informed opinion. I will likewise talk about the XYZ Medical Services
Association's key issues. The Avalon Health Care Organization (HCO) is searching for XYZ
Health Care Organization which consists of “two hospitals – one with 100 beds, the other is a
150-bed hospital, which are in neighboring cities to each other. XYZ Health Care Organization
also has multiple satellite doctors' offices, and the doctors, nurses, and other support staff are all
employees of the healthcare organization. “(case study,2022). XYZ is about to close resulting in
bankruptcy. “More than 300 employees would be laid off, and two communities would be
completely without
health care access if that happens.” (Case Study 2022)
Issues of concern
Upon Avalon HCO's initial review of the issues leading to XYZ’s potential closing and
bankruptcy, existing issues such as many Medicare and Medicaid patients, who are known for
receiving low reimbursements concerning the cost of care, and a disproportion of revenue flows.
The financial statements discussed proved to provide very little Insite to and provoked other
concerns. Joint Commissions visited XYZ location in which reports showed that there were
numerous areas of noncompliance of Joint Commissions standards within their organization that
