At J&P, we think about employees first. Therefore, we always
want to make sure we are providing the best technology
available. One such practice is constantly adapting to the current
technological advancements in the market. Since the introduction
of primarily working from home, it can be challenging to
communicate within our company without the burnout of endless
emails. As Rahul (2021) states, we overcompensate for the lack
of in-person connection by firing off endless messages. Thus,
another way to communicate is necessary. Studies show that
Zoom, a communication platform, is a perfect solution to resolve
the communication barrier between our staff. Next, I will first
explain what Zoom is, and then explain how it can benefit our
employees at J&P.
Zoom was founded by entrepreneur Eric Yuan in the early days
of 2011. Zoom originated as a simple video communication
platform for conferencing purposes. Through features such as
Chat rooms and whiteboards Zoom became a multiple-level
software to optimize productivity, and communication. Zoom
started its transition to a major competitor during COVID-19,
with the sudden rise of employees working from home
