The syllabus combines skills-based and topic-based approaches to address
Alberto’s needs and interests. It will cover reading, writing, listening, speaking, and
grammar. Lessons will include listening to selected articles, focusing on
vocabulary used in the workplace, and topics of interest to keep Alberto motivated.
WHY:
I have designed a blended Syllabus for the student aimed at his specific needs and requirements that
was mentioned . His He wishes to better enhance his chances of employment, and to improve his
general English conversational skills with English speaking friends as well as for travel. The
students learning preferences involve authentic and humorous material.
Skills-based Syllabus:
The skills based syllabus will be aimed at the students requirements and desired outcome. The main
focus in the syllabus will be cover all aspects of English including listening and speaking exercises
using selected articles and audio.
Correct grammar and pronouciation. Using authentic material such as audio and real-world content
Topic-based Syllabus:
The topics to be covered have been based on what the student has mentioned in his questionnaire
and in his interview. Such as environment, Science, Technology, Current Affairs, the chosen topics
with variety of activities and humour, this will keep the student interested and motivated. The
topics that will be covered will help him to prepare for business English to better communication
with colleagues in the workplace and prepare for interviews
