BRIDGE - -1 or more teeth missing same arch/quadrant
replaces posterior and anterior teeth

RESIN BONDED BRIDGE - -has 1 pontic with wings-mesial and distal sides
not as strong
replaces only a single tooth
anterior teeth only
AKA maryland bridge
- Indications of a fixed prosthodontics - -1 or more teeth missing same arch
suitable abutment teeth
healthy supportive tissues
good health and wants it place
skills and motivation to maintain OH
- Contradictions of fixed prosthodontics - -diseased or missing supportive
tissues
abutment teeth missing
poor health and doesn't want it placed
poor oral habits
- Home Care instructions for a provisional coverage (crown) - -bite and chew
carefully on crown, avoid sticky foods
brush like normal, but when flossing - down and out
falls off put back on right away call dentist
- Name and describe 4 fixed prosthetics - -veneer- thin layer of composite
or porcelain cemented to a prepared facial surface
Inlay-cast restoration for a class II restoration
Onlay- restoration for occlusal crown and proximal surfaces of posterior teeth
Fixed bridge- artificial teeth fixed in place and supported by attachment to

custom crown- more work but more natural looking
