Addressing Nursing Shortage at Winchester Medical Center's Emergency
Department
Introduction
To address the shortage of nurses in Winchester Medical Center's Emergency
Department, this proposal offers a solution in the form of an interdisciplinary team, which
will be created to tackle this problem. When it comes to the goal, the focus is on improving
patient care, shoring up the well-being of the nurses, and in return enhancing the efficacy of
the healthcare system.
Objective
The main purpose of my plan is to put together a team which will be assembled from
nurses, doctors, administrative assistants, and many other professionals. This interdisciplinary
team will have to work jointly in place of the strategies that will be framed and implemented
with a view of relieving the magnitude of the nursing shortage in the Emergency Department.
The key goal of this initiative is to increase the patient outcomes, reduce the nurse's burnout
and further improve the efficiency of the health care center by making several changes, like,
focusing on the necessary staffing levels, streamlining the workflow processes and creating a
welcoming environment for the team at Winchester Medical Center.
Questions and Predictions
Question one: Which kind of the interdisciplinary team's methods will be announced
to fill in the staffing vacancies in the Emergency Department?
Prediction: The team will design short-term measures, like recruiting temporary
nurses, rescheduling the group, and reassigning resources from other divisions as an interim
solution.
