What are the roles of Safety Officers?
✓ Oversee the overall management of the OSH program in coordination
with the OSH committee; Assist government inspectors in the conduct
of safety and health inspection at anytime whenever work is being
performed or during the conduct of an accident investigation by
providing necessary information and OSH reports Frequently monitor
and inspect any health or safety aspect of the operation being
undertaken with the participation of supervisors and workers; Issue Work
Stoppage Order WSO when necessary based on the requirements and
procedures provided by the OSH standards.
It is an unexpected unforeseen, unplanned and unwanted occurrence or
event that causes damage or loss of materials or properties, injury or death.
