reliable. There is internal evidence which is within the scriptures in the Bible and there is
external evidence that is found outside of the Bible such as temples, the tomb Jesus was buried in
and ancient manuscripts. The Bible is our revelation and inspiration in our lives. All the
scriptures in the Bible should be used for good, to teach others the ways of life and to teach
others about God and how loving he is. “For the grace of God has appeared, saving all and
training us to reject godless ways and worldly desires and to live temperately, justly, and
devoutly in this age” (2 Timothy 2:11-12).
Reliability of the New Testament transcripts has been a big topic throughout the years.
There are reliable copies of the New Testament transcripts that were compromised over 5,000
years ago. It has been recorded that these transcripts are 95% correct and close to the original
transcripts. There have even been reliability in prophecies that have been fulfilled. “In the days to
come the mount of the Lord’s house shall be established higher than the mountains; it shall rise
high above the hills, and peoples shall stream to it” (Micha 4:1). This passage is talking about the
new Israel and stating that the temple in Jerusalem will be the focal point in the world. Today,
Jerusalem is considered the most religious focal point in the world. No other city has been
considered as such. There have also been prophecies mentioning Jesus’s birth and those
prophecies were fulfilled. “Be sober and vigilant. Your opponent the devil is prowling around
like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, steadfast in faith, knowing that
your fellow believers throughout the world undergo the same sufferings” (1 Peter 5:8-9).
