year olds to make more and more sales, for profit. The business is UK-based and has lots of
unique fashion styles according to their target market’s likes and dislikes. It was established
in 2006, and grew strongly from being Manchester’s best kept fashion secret to becoming one
of the rapidly growing global retailers. According to the BBC news 2018, Boohoo.com made
around £580m sales in that year. The business combines cutting edge designs with
economical prices and is still trying to be the best they can be. Moreover, Wikipedia stated
Boohoo.com to have over 36,000 products in 2018. It is a PLC (Public limited company), and
thus anybody who wants to buy a share of it can do so. Even though the company has its own
brand fashion i.e. boohoo labels, the business is said to be a tertiary sector. This is because,
boohoo.com sells its products and provides services to its customers in order to grow and
make profit. Furthermore, any person, business or an organisation selling its products or
services is said to be the tertiary sector from the three-economic sector of the three-sector
theory. A business for profit or a charity organisation, both fall in the tertiary sector. The
business has limited liability and therefore, none of the shareholders can be sued. As
mentioned, it is a big business, operating internationally, employing over 2,175 employees as
per 2018 results. The company is also believed to have supplied other high street chains such
as Primark and New Look. Boohoo’s fashion clothing includes uniquely designed dresses and
tops, along with 27,000 different styles of clothing.
The company loves fashion, values creativity and have high expectations. Boohoo also has a
whole different and special shopping page for men, which is known as “boohooMAN”.
Looking at the company’s fast growing demand for its women clothing, the company decided
to have something for men as well. So, it continued with their boohoo.com business online,
but also gave some of its interest and focus on creating and maintaining the other chain of
