2. Scanning is used when you are looking for specific information. For example, when you
are researching a specific topic.
3. Reading for pleasure is used when you want to read something just because it
interests you. You do this kind of reading at your own speed .
4. Study reading is used to fully understand and master learning material. For study
reading, you must read slowly and keep trying to understand everything. You may have to
read sentences and sections several times before they really make sense to you. You must
