, The company currently employs four people; Jim Siftens (the owner) and three
trainers.

Activity 1

Learning Aim A: Explore how IT features meet the needs of
organisations and their stakeholders.

Purpose of the organisation
The organisation is a single gym that is small but is growing that provides many different
services such as Strength and fitness training, Yoga, Aerobics and one-to-one fitness
classes. The company also includes their main gymnasium which includes a weight room,
fitness room, reception and finally an area for showering and changing which is good for a
business like this due to customers being sweaty and hot after a gym session.

The company has seen an increase in business recently and would like to expand more. To
meet this sudden demand of business the company would like to employ more staff,
purchase two more gymnation locations in the same town, Increase the use of IT and related
infrastructure and to Launch a website to hold all their information such as fitness class
bookings and training appointments. Overall the business is seeing an increase in demand
and would like to improve their facilities by getting two new locations and a website to hold
their important information for customers which shows them accurate prices for their
services.

Introduction
In this report I will fulfil Jim Stifens ideas on expanding this company by meeting the needs
of his customers and staff. I will be improving their business by creating and expanding their
location by getting two new locations in the town. By doing this the demand of the business
will calm down allowing each branch to work on their own with Jim going around managing
the staff that will be hired when the gym is finished.

Software
There are many different types of softwares that can be used to improve Siftens Fitness by
creating websites and advertisements. I will explain each type of software that can be used
to manage the increased demand they are seeing in the business.
