you up!
Side Effect: foul taste, xerostoma, increased ocular pressure, urinary
retention.
Interventions: monitor urinary patterns, schedule eye exams, provide hard
candy
Educate: suck on hard candy, regular eye exams, report urinary issues

Acute asthma exacerbation.
Acts on Beta 2 but also triggers Beta 1 (heart). So can cause tachycardia,
palpitations, tremors, insomnia.
Also, watch out for hypokalemia!
Remember to clean mouth piece of inhaler 1x - 2 x a week. Also, use this
before a steroid!
Formoterol - Answer✔️✔️-long acting beta 2 agonist / asthma
Always give with a SABA. Do NOT GIVE BY ITSELF!
Hypokalemia risk is significant (shift of Vitamin K into cells);
Hyperglycemia is also a risk, Seizure risk.
Interacts with many diuretics (worry about hypokalemia, again), and many
other drugs
