Through the columns of your widely circulated daily, I wise to draw
the attention of the authority concerned to an environmental problem
which we are facing today.
I am a resident of Ward No. 7 of the Murshidabad Municipality. Ours is a
thickly populated area. But unfortunately garbages are heaped here and
there in our localaity. These are not cleaned regularly and continue to give
out foul smell. Heaps of grabages have become the breeding grounds of
flies and mosquitoes. Various diseases like malaria and cholera may spread
in the locality at any time. Our repeated appeals to the municipality have
gone in vain.
