on. Complete the matrix for the one that you consider most important in your life. In your initial post,
explain the importance of this organization and how you manage your dependence on it. Comment
on three other student’s posts, suggesting strategies that they might use to manage their
dependence on important organizations. Please link your answer to concepts from Unit 3 readings.

Google. I’m sure everyone here can describe how important Google is to them. I rely on Google
for many things, as a search engine, as a place to store and collaborate on projects, as a email
provider, and so much more. They are the full package and is something that I heavily rely on. If
their search engine ever went down, I would be minorly inconvenienced but would be able to get
by using Bing. However, if Google Drive ever went down, I would be completely lost and really
don’t have a backup other than items already saved to my computer and use Microsoft Office. It
would not be the same and I would be missing it a lot. Those the high dependency on the
organization. I do try to keep a backup of my work in case there was ever a day that Google
Drive failed me, however the function that could not be replaced is the collaborative nature that
is just not replicated the same on any other platform. Google mitigates risks to their platform by
utilizing their cloud based computing and having ten components to their security strategy
(Google, 2012).
