I = inspiring, fascinating, and engaging.
S=supportive, steady, and stable.
C = Cautious, competent, and careful.
Four-step approach for confirming understanding:
1. Use affirming statements.
2. Provide a summary of crucial facts.
3. Inquire whether your knowledge is correct.
4. Clarify any misunderstandings.
Language of Closure
turn away or sit with arms and legs crossed.
Language of Openness
shown with extended arms, legs, and feet pointed toward the customer, and relaxed
and sustained eye contact.
•Leaning forward indicates interest.
, •Attentiveness is indicated by a small forward tilt of the head.
•A small lateral tilt of the head indicates inquiry.
•slow nodding, curiosity noises, and a furrowed brow indicate concentration.
There are eight techniques to assess when a connection has been made:
1. People make extra effort.
2. People express favorable sentiments.
3. Individuals display trust.
4. People can express themselves more freely.
5. People are satisfied with what they are doing.
6. People demonstrate an emotional connection.
7. People become emotionally charged when they are together.
8. People are becoming more synergistic, and their combined efficacy exceeds the
sum of their individual contributions.
