One is not more important than the other, but they may help people succeed at different things. For example, a person with high musical intelligence and low visual-spatial intelligence may succeed in a music class, but may struggle in art class (Gardner, 2000). Write an essay which focuses on the multiple intelligences in environmental education. Structure your essay as a mini essay which requires an introduction, body and conclusion. The following serves as a guideline on how your essay SHOULD be structured: 4.1.1 Introduction: should briefly explain what is meant by multiple intelligences in your own understanding after reading what literature says. (2) EED2601/101 5 4.1.2 Body: write an essay and describe how you are going to cater for learners with these intelligences in your classroom during teaching and learning: a. ACTIVITY 1

1.1 Learning Styles

a. Tactile Learners

Explanation: Tactile learners, also known as kinesthetic learners, prefer to engage in
hands-on activities to understand concepts. They learn best through touch and
physical movement. These learners benefit from activities that involve building,
manipulating objects, or using physical gestures to explore ideas. According to
literature, tactile learners retain information better when they can physically interact
with the material.

Example: To teach tactile learners about the water cycle, you might set up a hands-on
activity where students create a model using materials like clay, paper, and water to
simulate evaporation, condensation, and precipitation.

b. Auditory Learners

Explanation: Auditory learners grasp information best through listening. They often
benefit from lectures, discussions, and verbal explanations. They may struggle with
written instructions but excel when they can hear the material. Literature suggests that
auditory learners are often good at remembering spoken information and may prefer to
study by reading aloud or discussing topics with others.

Example: For auditory learners studying historical events, you might use storytelling or
podcasts that describe the events in detail. Group discussions or debates on historical
topics can also help these learners engage with and retain the information better.

c. Visual Learners

Explanation: Visual learners prefer to see and use images, diagrams, and written
