I can use the total physical approach (TPR) in assisting to address fear and
confusion that learners might experience using a Role-Playing, that is l can
create scenarios where learners can act out daily routines like “going to the
market” or “preparing for school.” This helps those associate actions with
words and phrases in context. l can also use matching activities by having
learners match physical objects with their names in English. For instance,
give them a ball and say “ball,” encouraging them to repeat and hold the
object, reinforcing the word-object association. I can also use a like play
“Simon Says” using action verbs in English. For example, “Simon says,
‘jump,’” “Simon says, ‘sit down,’” etc. This game encourages listening and
response without the pressure of speaking.
