Antibiogram - ANS-shows the % of isolates that were SUSCEPTIBLE to each microbial
30 isolates should be included
only the 1st isolate collected per patient
Case-control example - ANS-identify exposures associated with bloodstream infections
CLABSI criteria - ANS-fever > 38 degrees C/100.4 F, chills, or hypotension AND + labs
from >=2 blood cultures drawn at separate times
CMV - ANS-caused by Human Herpes virus 5
incubation period is 3-8 weeks, for perinatal or postnatal it's 3-12 weeks
s/s=fever, sore throat, fatigue, & sometimes swollen glands
tranmission= saliva, urine, blood products, or organs

Cold food storage - ANS-41 degrees F/ 5 degrees C
Emergency Management (phases) - ANS-mitigation, preparednes, response, &
recovery
Experimental studies - ANS-establish association & causality if hist factors such as
disease susceptibility & other variables are strictly controlled

Imperical therapy - ANS-started before a culture
