Franchising Vodafone has Partner Agent Programme which is looking for
external entrepreneurs who are keen on owning Vodafone
stores. Their program is set up all over the world, in the UK
alone there are 66 franchises already.
Joint ventures An entity of two or more partners who decide to share risks
and returns in specific business venture. JV is usually used
to enter new markets or to exploit emerging markets and is
often for a short period of time.
Partnerships Bringing partners together with the aim to increase the
mutual interest. Partnerships between businesses are legally
executed and normally they are in power for extended time
period.

£425m partnership. This will help the companies to adopt
international technologies and give them an edge in the 5G
competition.
Agencies Vodafone may use export agencies in foreign countries to
receive useful local information. Those agencies have
contacts that can be very useful for the company. If Vodafone
don’t have office in specific country, agencies can also
control and monitor overseas operations.
Licensing A business arrangement in which one company gives
another company permission to manufacture its product for a
specified payment.
Subsidiary Vodafone bought out 50.5% of the German Telecom giant
Mannesmann, making it subsidiary. This means that
business
Vodafone is in control of all the company’s affairs.
Sub-contracting Assigning specific business task to a third party know as a
subcontractor. The contractor has the overall responsibility of
the project to ensure it is completed within the deadline.
Outsourcing In 2011 Vodafone decided to move their call centre from
Ireland to India and Egypt, using their party companies. This
was takes as way to cut cost because the company was
experiencing falls in revenue and declining customer
numbers.
