Biology reproduction notes from study guide-Questions and Answers Graded A+ sexual reproduction - ANSWER-Involves the fusion of male and female sex cells, known as gametes, to form a zygote. In sexual reproduction the off spring produced - ANSWER-Are genetically different from each other and from their parents. This equals more variation among the offspring. ASexual - ANSWER-There is only one parent. All the offspring are genetically identical to the parent as they inherit exactly the same genetic information. In Asexual reproduction (variation) - ANSWER-There is very little variation amongst the offspring. Variation that occurs in asexual reproduction is due - ANSWER-Because of the environment for example the availability of nutrients and water determine how well organisms grow.
