Introducton:
I created this report to demonstrate my knowledge of the diferent types of organisatons operatng
in the Travel and Tourism business environment. I need to provide descriptons of the following to
prove it.
Task 1
Provide a short descriptoo of each of the followiog:
a) Public Sector:
There are three types of public sectors
1. Central government controlled
2. Local government controlled
3. Membership
The Public Sector is comprised of organisatons that are owned and operated by the
government and exist to ofer services for its residents. Organisatons in the public sector do
not pursue to produce a proft. business is an associaton selling a product or service to a
consumer to gain a beneft from the trade. Travel and Tourism business organisatons are
designed to earn proft and increase the personal wealth of the organisatons in exchange
for their product and facilites.
b) Private Sector
There are six types of private sectors.
1. Public limited companies
2. Private limited companies
3. Partnership
4. Limited liability partnerships
5. Sale proprietors
6. Franchise
The Private Sector is usually involved of organisatons run by individuals and groups who
pursue to generate and return a proft back to its owners. Organisatons in the private sector
are usually free from the government control or ownership.
