STATISTICAL INFERENCE ABOUT MEANS AND PROPORTIONS WITH TWO POPULATIONS
Inference for two samples is a statistical method used to make conclusions about the population parameters based on data collected from two different samples. The goal of this analysis is to determine whether there is a statistically significant difference between the two populations from which the samples were drawn. The null hypothesis is always the claim that the two population proportions are equal (p1=p2 p 1 = p 2 ). Use the form of the alternative hypothesis to determine if the test is left-tailed, right-tailed, or two-tailed. Collect the sample information for the test and identify the significance level.
