Altus and Anria sat glued to the TV without barely blinking an eye.
More than two hours ago, they stopped the channel to watch the
broadcast of their regular programs. Everyone has switched to the
newscast. A plane burst into fames. They saw the same scene in the
last couple of hours probably ffy tmes. “Viewers, the shocking
news is that aliens have atacked planet earth. Beings from outer
space. No, this is not a joke. I repeat this is not a joke. The US
president has just confrmed that the Foreign Flying Object has
appeared in Washington early hours this morning, indeed the aliens
were on board. Atempts to communicate with the headline, failed.
The huge space ship disappeared afer the two US warplanes were
shot down. But now the spaceship is in England”. Altus and Anria
look away from the TV screen when their mother and father entered,
“Their dad said, do not worry. Everything will be fne”. “Fine”,
echoed their mother. Altus and Anria smiled. Their mother rubbed
their blond hair. Then the four of them all looked back at the TV
screen. “Wait a minute... we have just learned that the space ship is
now in France”. Then their eyes widened. “Viewers, I must warn you,
we've just received some very disturbing news. The Eifel Tower in
Paris was recently demolished. I repeat, the aliens demolished the
Eifel Tower. We switch now live to the camera crew in France”.
‘Why did they demolish the Eifel Tower, Dad?’, Asked Anria. 'I do
not know love but I'm sure they have a good reason’, answered her
father. 'Maybe someone tried to atack them again!’. 'Oh Altus’, said
the father. They now see on the TV how the giant tower just
, collapsed. 'Shocking!' The news reader sounded breathless, “What a
shocking day for the whole world! Our reporters have a few people
on the street asking the aliens questons. Here's what they had to
say. ‘This is the end of the world’. A woman screamed hysterically.
“The aliens are going to blow us all away!”. A man with green
coloured hair is smiling at the camera and he looks very calm and
saids, 'I think it's so cool! Awesome! It's like something out of a
movie!'. ‘Does that mean there's no more high school?' asked a girl.
‘Are we going to school tomorrow?’, said Altus. 'Sure', said Dad.
'We're never going back to school!' said Anria's. 'Of course you are
going back to school but not right away and not at the same school,
said her mother. ‘Will we love our new school? asked Altus. 'Yes’,
said his father. 'I'm sure you will.'
