Carlos Ghosn- Democratc
He was the CEO of car manufacturer Renault, and chairman of another manufacturer of Mitsubishi
motors. Ghosn is a democratc leader. He is a Brazilian, Lebanese, and French business man.
As a democratc leader he boosts the atmosphere of the team by giving them a voice within the business
to make cooperate decisions. This makes the workers feel valued due to them being recognised from
the very top of the organisaton and having their voice listened to and seriously considered as a business
decision.
It also makes employees more willing for change as they have been part of the decision-making process,
so they have seen both sides being considered for the adaptaton. So therefore, they may be more
acceptance for the change within the business as the employee with have more power no mater of
where they are positoned on the hierarchy structure.
Although the leaders stll maintain control over the decisions made from within the business, so the
employees do not have full control, they only have an input into putng ideas forward and what they
believe is right.
It also takes a longer tme, for the decision-making process due to communicaton being spread out
from hierarchy levels, as well as possibility of afectng the quality due to large amount of people having
an input of which may not have the expertse to choose the right and best opton for the business. As
they have not had the same amount of training as workers in the higher end of the business (boardroom
workers).
