“The effects of trust in physician on self-efficacy, adherence and diabetes outcomes” that reports a
study on the connection between the trust in one’s own physician and health in diabetic patients.




1. Briefly describe the theory that makes up the conceptual model (see information button).
What are the causal hypotheses?

You can use regression analysis in SPSS to estimate the path coefficients (regression coefficients) of
the model. To do so, you need to divide the path model into separate regression equations.
2. How many regression equations do you need to estimate all path coefficients of the model?

Now perform the regression analyses in SPSS and estimate the path coefficients.
To run a regression analysis: Analyze > Regression > Linear
Remember that you need to perform one regression analysis per regression equation.
