Introduction
The organizational structure is referred to as a system capable of allocating tasks,
coordinating work processes, and supervising activities to meet the strategic goals of the
organization. There are various organizational structures, but the current study aims to
compare the tall and flat organizational structures concerning specific company examples.
The benefits and drawbacks possessed by both of these organizational structures will be
evaluated.
Overview of managerial needs to pay careful attention to organizational structure
The organization structure needs to be clearly defined in a business to make sure that all of
the business functions are handled properly, including business operations, marketing and
sales, finance, and human resources (Leatherbarrow, Fletcher and Currie, 2018). There are
several factors responsible for the selection of an organisational structure. These are the
nature of the business, size, business environment, and leadership practices. As per the views
of Fuertes et al. (2020), the materialization of the strategies formed in a business becomes
easier with the application of organisational structure. The evaluation of the strategic decision
stands to be vital for business managers as they tend to rely on the organizational structure to
accept strategic measures. Pairing the organizational resources with competitive work actions
depends on the critical thinking of the managers placed in the organization structure.
Therefore, it is adequately important for managers to keep track of the business functions
within the organization structure.
