You also need to believe in your cause and sell it for people to want to get behind it. Discuss the importance of your "ratio" of money raise that is used for administrative costs vs. the actual nonproft activites. What percentage should go to costs vs. activities? - ANSWER-Admin and costs should be about 35% of an org. Nonprofits should be about 65%. It's important because if an org uses a majority of the money for admin and office supplies, a lot of donors won't want to donate because the money is being used recklessly and they might think the org has a lot of money already. How can you show your donors that you care about them and are good managers of the funds they donate? - ANSWER-Thank them seven times and have a breakdown of what their money will be used for and let them know if it was used for that specific thing.
