Attitudes: three main components
1. Cognition- an opinion or belief
2. Affect - the emotional or feeling segment associated with that belief
3. Behavior- the intention to behave in a certain way
Classifying values:
- Terminal values: desirable end-states of existence; the goals that a person would like to
achieve during his or her lifetime
- Instrumental values: preferable modes of behavior or means of achieving ones terminal
values.
Emotional intelligence:
- Self awareness
- Self regulation
- Social skills
- Empathy
- Motivation

- Economic: business firms, private equity, partnerships
- Mutual: employee owned, building societies
- Public service: hospitals, government departments
- Social enterprise: social and environmental concerns
- Protective: military, trade unions
- Religious: churches
- Political: political parties
- Educational: schools, training centers
- voluntary/ community: citizen advice bureau
Private or Public sector:
Based on ownership and finance and profit motive
