Detail Question - correct answer A question in which you can find the answer directly stated in the passage. You should always get this type of question right! Inference Question - correct answer When the question asks you to make an inference, you won't find the answer stated in the text. You're going to have to make a little leap of logic. "The passage (or the author) implies...." "The passage (or the author) suggests...." "The author might agree...." "The reader can infer that ...." Vocabulary-in-Context Question - correct answer Ask you to understand how the author uses a certain word or phrase, based on clues you see around it.
