I was able to then identify how self-disciplined I was. Throughout the range of 10 different lessons, I
was being assessed on how I demonstrated self-discipline and how I was able to perform in relevant
activities with self-discipline. There were 5 different activities that were being assessed. These 5
activities consisted of how well I presented myself in the uniform, if I was able to meet any deadlines
that there might have been, how good my attendance is, displaying a positive attitude in the
classroom and finally how well I conformed to rules and regulations. With these 5 activities I would
have been marks on table. The grading criteria were either refer, pass or merit.
Each lesson I was determined to get the best result I could which in this case was a merit for self-
discipline. I ensured that my uniform I was wearing was all correct, looked smart and professional. I
did this by preparing it all the night before so I could check what I had and didn’t have. Meeting
deadlines is very important for whenever work needs to be handed in etc. I prepared myself for
these deadlines by organising myself and doing the work a few days before it needed to be handed
in. When it came to attendance, I made sure that I got to the lessons early and go to all the lessons
that were on my time table. During the lessons, I wanted to show I had a positive attitude by
participating in the lessons and getting on with the work which was given without any moaning. As
most places have rules, so it the classroom and college. I made sure I conformed to the rules and
regulations that were set for an effective working place.
I believe when it comes to self-discipline, I have many strengthens. The reason for why I believe this
is because from the reports, my self-discipline levels were always high. I was able to look smart, hand
things in on the deadline, have good attendance, display a positive attitude and conform to rules.
With my self-discipline, I don’t think there are many weaknesses I have due to the fact how good my
reports were. There are many opportunities when someone has good self-discipline because the
employers will know that they can count on them to hand things in or look professional for the job.
Overall after 10 lessons of getting assessed on my self-discipline I got all merits. I believe that from
these results of self-discipline is in a very high standard. Having self-discipline is very handy when
wanting to be organised or getting a job etc.
Discipline is required in the police force to ensure that the officers don't become consumed
with power, and that they continue to obey the laws that they enforce. Each police
department has their own way of disciplining their officers. I am hoping that my future
career will be in the police force.

when it comes to the recruiting and selection stages over other individuals.
