Introduction
Personality traits of A. are the set of qualities that determine a certain type of a human
being judging by his psychics.
In this personality report, we will investigate the extent to which his personality traits
of A. hinder or help him in dealing with difficult situations. A. has filled out a series of
personality questionnaires that concentrate on the certain core traits which define the
psychological type of A. The results will give us an insight into his personality and the extent
to which his personality hinders or helps him in handling difficult situations.
Biographical Data
A. is 22 years old man who is currently studying Psychology at the Vrije Universiteit
in Amsterdam. He was born in the Netherlands and grew up there. His parents are divorced
and he currently lives with his brother and mother in Utrecht. A. had few friends in
kindergarten and he had no problems with his peers. His first childhood memory is a dream he
had when he was five years old, and in that dream, he saw a beautiful island where people
were playing. A. says that he has always been drawn back to that place. In primary school,
A.used to have good friends with whom he used to play with but not outside school. In high
school, his parents used to motivate him into achieving his goals. Because of brain surgery,
his performance at school was average. A. described his relationship with his parents as good.
He does not have a favorite subject at school. While growing up, A. enjoyed a mix of hobbies,
but because of his epilepsy, he could not pick a particular one. Nowadays, A. after school
activities is building computers and helping his father in his restaurant. A. says that his
biggest challenge while growing up was managing his money. In the future, A would like to
become a sports psychologist who works with people in rehabilitation centres.
First impression
During our conversations, A. talked about different subjects and it seemed that he
knew those subjects very well. He came across as smart, calm, open-minded, and well-
balanced. He seemed confident and took initiative when the situation required it. He was very
open-minded and was willing to share personal details about his life with a very ease.
Hypothesis
Based on A.’s Autobiography and my first impression, I presumed that because of A’s
calm personality, he will always try to solve difficult situations peacefully. People who tend
to have a calm personality tend to seek peace as the desired outcome in difficult situations.
