RELI 448N PERSPECTIVES ESSAY Comparative Religion all Complete Solutions Latest Verified Review 2023 Practice Questions and Answers for Exam Preparation, 100% Correct with Explanations, Highly Recommended, Download to Score A+ Perspectives Essay Christianity has had a huge influence in the world where God and humanity are reconciled through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. The stories of the death and resurrection of Jesus are told in the gospels in the bible by his followers after his death. There have been many interpretations of these writings and many Christian denominations have formed that focus on different parts of the writings. Emic Christianity is the belief that God and humanity are reconciled through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Reconciliation involves repentance, confession and forgiveness. Christians believe in the teachings written about Jesus’ virgin birth, his death and his resurrection. Christians are monotheistic, believing that Jesus is the son of God. Some believe that they are two separate entities and others believe that they are three in one, the trinity, including the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit. The core of the Christian faith is: Jesus died on the cross for their sins, and rose again to reconcile God and humanity. The bible calls this the cornerstone of faith, on which all other truths are built. Christianity involves praying for forgiveness, believing that in doing so “if they claim Jesus as their Lord and Savior they will be welcomed into Heaven after their life on earth ends” (Wood, 2018, p. 2). Christians believe in eternity and that there will be an end of days sometime. They believe in heaven, hell and that there is a devil who tries the faith of Christians with temptation (Molloy, 2013).
