Transport system in herbaceous (not woody) dicotyledonous plants:
Xylem vessels/tissue: water, minerals and amino acids
Phloem: assimilates (sucrose, amino acids)
Arrangement of vascular bundles

Main vascular bundle is called the midrib (main vain)
No cambium as leaf doesn’t grow like a stem
Collenchyma = cells with extra thick cell walls (more cellulose) to provide
strength
