This summary will now move on to recommendations for improving the health and
safety standards in City College, classroom 417. As seen on the risk assessment,
there are improvements that City College needs to make in order to the classroom
more safe and comfortable for everyone who uses the classroom.
There are recommendations I have found in order to make the classroom 417 much
better. This will also reduce the chances of students, teachers or anyone else using
the classroom, safer.
Here are some recommendations for classroom 417 at City College.
The recommendations for classroom 417 at City College are:
1. Rounding off table edges
Table edges are a common hazard and people mostly get injured due to them.
Therefore the corners on the tables can be rounded off to eliminate the risks of
anyone tripping or hurting themselves by walking into the table edges. By rounding
off the edges the tables will also be the same height and it will eliminate the risks of
anyone hurting themselves badly off the edges especially visitors and new
students/teachers which have recently joined the college as they are most likely to
be unaware of the hazards and take less caution
2. To clean the dust on window frames
There is a bit of dust on the window frames which should be cleaned as this can
affect people's health especially if a person has asthma and is sitting next to the
window. It is important that everything is clean otherwise people who attend
college will be affected in health wise. By cleaning the dusk of all the window
frames, people will asthma in the class won't have any problems and will find it
easier to concentrate on their work and it will stop others from getting affected as
well.
3. Blinds
The blinds need to be changed to much more adjusted ones with no gaps that go
from one side all the way over to the other side. This will ensure that there is no
gaps in between the blinds which would let any sunlight through. People would
not be affected by sunlight at all and the blinds would be better at use if there is
no gaps. Sometimes blinds which have gaps can't stop the sun shining through
and it is very likely that sun will shine through, that will affect students when they
are working especially if they are by the window.
4. Desks
