The Cold War, an era that spanned nearly half a century, stands as one of the most defining periods
in modern history. Emerging from the ashes of World War II, it brought about a global geopolitical
landscape marked by ideological tensions, military brinkmanship, and an intricate web of alliances.
The clash between the United States and the Soviet Union, two superpowers with vastly differing
