Sargsyan Reaction Rates Page 3 of 13 1. Insert a picture HERE of YOUR entire reaction apparatus (do NOT use the picture provided in the Procedure). Include a numbered figure legend explaining, in 2 -3 sentences, the apparatus pictured. Image 1. Experimental apparatus. The two flasks are connected to each other with the tubes. The second flask is also connected to the graduated cylinder.Sargsyan Reaction Rates Page 4 of 13 2. Insert a picture HERE of the solutions for Reaction 1 in their graduated cylinders prior to mixing. Include a numbered figure legend describing the volumes and concentrations of the solutions. Image 2. Reactants for Reaction 1. 10ml undiluted 1.0% IKI and 5ml undiluted 3% H2O2. 3. Include the data from Reaction 1 (10 mL undiluted 1.0% IKI and 5 mL undiluted 3% H2O2) here (Table 1 from your procedure). NOTE: If you had to use the sample rate data provided on Canvas, please (1) include the original data you collected as well, (2) explain why your data is not usable and (3) insert a second time column for the sample data that you used. Points will be deducted if you just use the provided data and do not do the experiment/provide your own values. Table 1. I have chosen to use the sample data for all reactions, because I was very insecure about the data I obtained. The main reason is, because, as will be seen in Table 2, the second reaction with a lower concentration of the catalyst proceeded at the fastest rate, and I don’t understand why this was the case. Besides, the time changes weren’t “even” either. It often happened that the consequent 2mL were added at a faster rate, than the previous ones, which also made me confused. 4.
