Unit 13 M2 – D2
1. Explain what went well at the interview and why you believe it went well?
Throughout the interview I shown many positive signs while answering the questions, this
was all down to confidence that I had as I have managed to have a couple of interviews for
jobs I have applied in the past, but also because of when I took part in the career ready
programme in the school, this programme developed my skills a lot and it also gave me
confidence for interviews similar to the one we acted out for. With the feedback I was given
from the interview I know that I also shown a good body language throughout the interview
and remained with eye contact with the interviewer which is always positive sign in an
interview which is always a positive sign in an interview. Also I gave detailed answers which
was sequences well.
2. Suggest ways you believe you might improve your interview technique for the next interview
With the feedback given there was also things I could have done to improve the interview
which was to engage further with the interviewer or even ask for expansion on some
questions that the interviewee given. However, on the other hand, I could have given my
answered in more detail rather than just a brief answer.
If we were to repeat the process again I would do a bit more research on the business to
improve my interview or to take the feedback on board and to apply them to the interview if
done again e.g. answering questions in more detail.
3. What aspects of your professional image were you pleased with, e.g. dress, hair, nails,
shoes?
The way the room was set I thought it was professional. However, the clothes of the
interviews were not by any chance of business like and it look like they are just normal
people, because none of the interviewer were wearing formal clothes I though it didn’t look
like an interview because it was just asking question and there was me answering.
4. Explain some of the nonverbal communication signals you used at the interview to make
your point such as using hands, eye contact, whether you crossed your legs or sat forward in
the chair
I also used non-verbal communication including the verbal communication which includes
me using my hands while answering some of the questions. I used my hands while also
asking questions to the interviewer, I was also making eye contact with the interviewer
which is also a positive for any interview, I also sat forward in a chair which I though was the
best to sit because if I sat with my legs crossed on the chair then this would not be
professional and not business like which means that I might have been less likely to be
appointed by the business.
